Final Day in Paris

Visiting La Chapelle and a cruise of the Seine

sunny 24 °C

Ohhh. so many possibilities and too little time!! but we'd heard about the beauty of Sainte Chapelle, next to Notre Dame.
We were in the queue by 9.00 am and after chatting to some Aussies and Americans, paid the 8 euro required and were inside the church by 9.30.
We climbed the spiral stairs to the second floor to see such beautiful stained glass windows.
My binoculars came in handy here..

After this we wended (!!!) our way home for a quick lunch then took the hop-on-off boat along the Seine for a couple of hours

It's so easy to get lost in Paris, but we had been supplied with a great map book.

Yesterday, a certain nameless person connived to visit the Church of St Roch - quite a beautiful building - as we walked in, the organ began to play - they had a midday mass .. quite inspiring..

We also visited St Eustache - a huge church with much antiquity.
