Fiesole and Florence

Today we caught the hop-on - off bus which took us into the hills above Florence to the village of Fiesole.
We drove along beautiful tree-lined streets with villas either side.
Including Villa Cora (now a majestic hotel)
From the town we enjoyed the spectacular views and had a short lunch.
On returning we got off at the Palazzo Michaelangelo for more great views and photos.
Back in Florence, we also walked across the Arno river to discover other large churches which were all closed..

We also snuck into Santa Maria Novella for a quick glimpse.
