Kuala Lumpur - day two

overcast 32 °C

Today we decided to get a taxi to take us to the butterfly park a short way out of the main city..

Again the day was overcast but sooo humid.... but we explored the park and took pics..

We caught a cab back to the main market area and visited a Hindu temple and an Indian temple where they were conducting a ceremony.

After a walk back to the hotel we got instructions on how to go by public bus to see the Petronas towers.. a huge shopping complex, but the tickets to go to the walkway are sold out two days in advance so we could not go up..

We had to wait a considerable time for a bus to get us back to the hotel, but we managed it!

Then it was time to get packed and await our taxi to the airport..
As an indication.. the taxi ride took about 45 minutes in reasonable traffic - mostly along the freeway and cosy 80 MHR. .. that's $25 AUD..

We decided to have a quick bite to eat in an airport restautant .. Chicken rendang curry and rice was very nice.!

Then the flight home , ariving to a very chilly, foggy Melbourne morning.. good job we had coats prepared..
the airport buses took us home!!

I hope you've enjoyed sharing our little adventure!!
